Fanwing Farnborough.jpg

Picture here is the Fanwing prototype aircraft - hard to see against the backdrop of Farnborough International in 2010.

It gets its lift from a rotating "drum" of blades which look rather like a cylinder lawnmower - interesting concept!

Sonic the Hedgehog

sonic.jpg

Flown out of Bristol Fiesta in the late 20th Century.

Sonic's feet are well below the basket and can block the pilot's view for landing and could also get caught under the basket on the ground.

Simple answer -

Descend at 300 feet per minute and his feet flap up around his ears.

The landing is "positive".
